Yes friends and neighbors, that's right! You can now apply for the coveted and prestigious Gern Blanston Award. The Gern Blanston Award is like no other award in that it is spelled entirely different from any other award. It clears up acne, won't upset your stomach, promotes world peace and is the award that 4 out of 5 dentists prefer for their patients who chew gum.

The Gern Blanston Award is given to sites that possess some sort of unique quality such as original art, writing, education or some other specialty that makes it stand out. An emphasis is placed on content rather than appearance. Special attention is paid to sites that are strange, unusual or absurd, however, if yours isn't, don't be discouraged from applying.

Sites beingsubmitted should be more original than "Hi my name is John Q. Public and welcome to my site", "this is my resume", "my dogs name is Spot and my favorite food is pizza", "this is my place on the web" etc. In other words, please have more on your site other than descriptions of yourself, pictures of yourself, interests, hobbies, pets, etc. The site should have some sort of interesting topic or theme. If you have created a site that contains the words "this is my world", stop it.

Sites that will be considered must:

• BE WRITTEN IN ENGLISH,
• BE A PERSONAL SITE,
• KEEP OUR ATTENTION,
• BE SAFE FOR ALL AGES,
• BE WELL ORGANIZED,
• BE EASY TO NAVIGATE.
• BE SUBMITTED BY PERSONS 14 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

Things that are causes for immediate disqualification are:

• COMMERCIAL SITES
• PORNOGRAPHY OR OFFENSIVE ADULT CONTENT INCLUDING PROFANITY,
• SATANIC OR OCCULT RELATED SITES,
• RACIST, ABUSIVE OR HATE SITES,
• UNDER CONSTRUCTION SIGNS (including the phrase "this site is always under construction". I assume that all sites are always under construction.)
• WAREZ SITES

Absolute Robeo will send an email of acceptance or denial within five working days of recieving of your application. Absolute Robeo reserves the right to deny the Gern Blanston Award to any web site for any reason without explanation. This means that if we think your site stinks you will get an email response indicating that your site was denied but we won't go so far as to tell you that we think your site stinks. However, if you receive the dreaded email of denial, DO NOT assume that we think that your site stinks. Chances are that it means something else entirely but we just don't have time to go into great detail as to why your particular site was denied. The bottom line is, we either like it enough to give you our award or we don't. If we like it enough, you get it. If we don't, you don't. Not being chosen for our award should in no way keep you from being proud of your web site.
